'Service to mankind is service to god'.Being a social animal,a man has to depend on  society for the fulfillment of his desires.He cannot fulfill all his requirements alone.Society provides him a place to live in,a platform to share his feeling and encourage him to do creative works.In return it is the duty of a man to do something good for the society through sincere social service.

Social service refers to the service rendered by an individual or an institution to improve the social conditions of society.It is non-profitable work also termed as welfare service based on the ideal of brotherhood  and sisterhood.Youths are the active population of a country and the future of nation is in their hand.So for the development of country and for the betterment of mankind social service should be an ultimate goal of every youth.

  For each and every nation,their youth are a great asset.Without their participation any work is unlikely to succeed.Any attempt for social service can be worthless if it doesn't get support from the youth.Youth have the power to bring the social reforms. They can bring society up to a level where there is no more poverty,no more crime and no more discrimination.All what is needed is their devotion for helping others in need.They should work selflessly and get involved in social service.There is not only a single way to get engaged in social service.Social service may exist in any form but it should be free from selfishness.

Nowadays,many youths have set social service as their aim.Different service-oriented organizations have been established which are available 24/7 to help and serve the needy ones.Voluntary programmes are being run by youth in different places.They are ready to volunteer during pandemic and disaster. Not only this,Youths are involved in giving free education to poor children who cannot afford their fees.In each and every sector, they have brought positive changes which have helped to upgrade our society.By getting involved in social service,youth are not only helping the needy people,but they are also inspiring the young generation to do good to others.

"The happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others"-A quote by Gordon B.Hinckley shows that social service not only do good to those whom we help but also bring happiness within ourselves . When we care for others and lose ourselves in the service of other , we can discover our own happiness . By helping other we help ourself to be a better human loved by people around us .So, social service is the way to bring reformation in the society and within ourselves . 

It is the dream of every youth to have a successful life . They want to live in a prosperous world free from poverty , jealousy , discrimination, hatred ,etc and the world which is full of love and happiness. For the dream to come true , we need to help each other. Instead of blaming other for not performing their duty well , we should be the change we wish to see in the world . We all don't have the ability to perform great jobs , but what can we do is to do small things with great love .

Social service is the need of time . When many people are involved into the fire of own selfishness we should try to spread love everywhere and the only way to fulfill this purpose is social service  . If we work for other , it gives us pleasure , satisfaction and honor . So , for the betterment of the society as well as for satisfaction of oneself , social service must be an ultimate goal of everyone.
